Maputo's airport to receive a vast cash injection
A Chinese firm on Thursday began a $75-million renovation of Mozambique's main airport in Maputo to prepare it for an expected surge in tourists ahead of the 2010 Soccer World Cup in neighbouring South Africa. 16 airports, including those in Beira, Quelimane, Pemba and Tete, also would get a facelift in the coming years as part of a government strategy to make the country more accessible to foreign visitors.
