Mozambique Safari Country Combinations
There is no doubt that Mozambique is a truly breathtaking country; with beaches that are unrivalled throughout the African Continent for their beauty and intimate privacy Mozambique really is the ultimate in an island lovers utopia. However, one of the beauties of Mozambique is its close proximity to some of Africas most enchanting countries. It is fair to say that not all of us look for a holiday consisting of amazing beach after amazing beach. After all, Africa is safari country, known for prolific game thundering through the likes of the Serengeti and Massai Mara; exactly where Mozambique falls short. The Niassa Reserve is home to Mozambiques highest density of game and an African safari enthusiast would adore this park for its lack of tourists and unreliable game. However it certainly is not big five country and with Botswana and Tanzania two of Mozambiques closest neighbours we cannot recommend highly enough the chance to spend your holiday in more than one country. A two hour flight from Maputo and one reaches Botswana, home to some of the worlds best safari parks in the Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve. Travel up the coast and before long Tanzania beckons with the Serengeti home to the largest volume of game in the world and the Ngorongoro Crater playing host to the continents most staggering National Park. The raw safari parks of Zambia or Zimbabwe offer yet more choices! Just to add another option, a two hour flight South and travellers reach Cape Town, without doubt one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Fly two hours West and the majestic Victoria Falls, one of the seven wonders of the world can occupy you for a week with its beauty and diversity of attractions. Continue West and the Soussevlei Sand Dunes reach into the sky, part of Nambias stunning scenery.... To put it mildly, there is so much to choose from. One thing we are certain of however is that Mozambiques beaches cannot be beaten; the question is how you tie them into your itinerary. We strongly recommend that you telephone us to discuss any plans that you may have and to talk through all your options.
